The twin engine, eight passenger deHavilland D.H.89 Dragon Rapide biplane was a scaled down version of the deHavilland Dragon. From its first flight in England in 1934 to the end of production in 1944, over 700 Rapides were built. They were used as light passenger and transport air-craft on the West coast and in Quebec. The CBHC version, C-FAYE, was built in England in 1944.
