Visit CBHC at the 2010 SSM Home & Outdoor Show

March 3, 2010- The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC) will be participating in the 2010 Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce Home & Outdoor Show, happening at the Essar Centre March 5 to 7, 2010

The CBHC booth will be located next to our tourism partners, Algoma Kinniwabi Travel Assocation (AKTA) and will showcase a few special items from the colletion. In addition, raffle tickets for an Air-Dale 3-Day Fly-In Fishing Trip for 2 and special CBHC merchandise will be sold.

The Home & Outdoor Show will be open Friday, March 5th from 4 pm to 9 pm; Saturday, March 6th from 10 am to 8 pm; and Sunday, March 7th from 10 am to 3 pm.

The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC) is a unique centre devoted to preserving the history of Bush Flying and Forest Protection in Canada. Volunteer members actively acquire, restore, preserve and display floatplanes, bushplanes, waterbombers, and forest firefighting equipment along with other aviation and forestry-related artifacts in oder to celebrate the achievements of Canada's aviation and forest fire fighting pioneers. Thousands of people have had the pleasure of learning of the contribution of bush pilots and these machines of life in Nothern Canada.

The CBHC is located at 50 Pim Street in Sault Ste. Marie, Onario (www.bushplane.com). The Centre boats one of Canada's most intriguing collections of airplanes and artifacts, including the CF-OBS, the first production Beaver manufactured by de Havilland Canada. The Centre is open daily 9am to 6pm form mid-May to mid-October and from 10am to 4pm during the rest of the year.
