1929 OPAS Hamilton Metalplane in the News

This month a 1929 Hamilton Metalplane H47 airplane, one of the four planes once used by the Ontario Provincial Air Service (OPAS) for observation, mapping and transport, is going up for auction in Scottsdale, Arizona through the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. At one time these four planes were housed in the historic OPAS hangar which is now the site of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.

This completely restored, flyable plane has been making a lot of news. As one of only 29 of its kind to be manufactured, it is expected to fetch around $1 million dollars at auction.
