January 2019 starts the beginning of our year long celebrations in honour of our 30 years as a museum in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Over the past 30 years we have grown to be the number one attraction in Sault Ste Marie through Trip Advisor reviews, Google reviews and Three Best Rated.
Here are some of the exciting plans:
An official Anniversary Day celebration on Mar. 18. Admission will be free with a ribbon-cutting and guided tours available
A Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce Take Five networking event on Mar. 21
A Bushplane Film Festival Apr. 8 to Apr. 11. Admission by donation
Canada's first female astronaut Roberta Bondar will be at the museum May 29 for a free multimedia presentation. "There is limited seating so we'll ask people in advance to book their place,"
Assuming some final airworthiness certification wrinkles are ironed out, a volunteer-built de Havilland Fox Moth will make its inaugural flight during a fly-in weekend at the waterfront museum June 21-23.
In July, a 30th anniversary-themed float will appear in the Rotaryfest parade
Bushplane Days Sept. 21 and 22, in partnership with the Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site's Fall Rendezvous
Haunted Hangar, Oct. 19, in partnership with Zombie Walk
Holiday Gift and Craft Show in November
New Year's Eve Gala featuring a fabulous dinner by the Grand Gardens and music by The Reptiles
We invite you to watch for all the exciting details.
Thank-you for your continued support in our 30 year success!
