JOB DESCRIPTION #1

The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is seeking 3 Exhibit Coordinators.

Job Title: Exhibit Coordinator, CANADIAN BUSHPLANE HERITAGE CENTRE

 

Reports To: Curator

 

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Curator, the Exhibit Coordinator is to coordinate and execute the design and construction of CBHC exhibits, develop and manage project budgets, schedules and delivery and act as liaison between project partners and the Curator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:

 

Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

1. The design and construction of new CBHC exhibits: Work closely with the Curator to research and develop exhibit themes/stories, develop exhibit work plans including: exhibit design, project budget and schedule, physical construction, public unveil of exhibits and final project reporting.  

 

2. Develop and expand community partnerships and outreach: Work with Curator to develop new partnerships with related community organizations, stakeholders, sponsors to ensure continued growth and development of CBHC exhibit program.

 

3. Monthly reporting: Report monthly on project benchmarks to Curator with progress towards stated goals.

 

4. Other duties: Perform all other related duties as may be deemed necessary by the Curator.

 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:

 

A. Experience in multi-source research and content development/writing.

B. Experience in graphic arts and design, with degree or certificate in same a plus. Must have solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

C. Experience in project management (scheduling, ordering, etc.).

D. Experience/Knowledge in physical construction methods and electronics.

E. Ability to complete detailed documentation, reports and tracking.

F. Experience using PC and Mac based operating systems and software.

G. Ability to be self directed and problem solve.

H. Ability to regularly meet or exceed established objectives.

I. Above average interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

 

Working Conditions and Environment:

 

1. This is a 1 year contract position with salary of $423/wk as per Ontario Job Creation Partnership Program (OJCP) guidelines.

 

2. Hours: 30 hrs per week. Some weekend work will be required.

 

3. Benefits: The CBHC does not have a benefit package.

 

4. Eligibility requirements: Applicants must meet Ontario Job Creation Partnership Program (OJCP) guidelines, must be unemployed and have been an EI recipient within last three years.

 

5. Applicants must have a current Police background check.

 

6. Applicants must have valid driver’s license and vehicle access.

The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is seeking 3 Program Coordinators.

Job Title: Program Coordinator, CANADIAN BUSHPLANE HERITAGE CENTRE

 

Reports To: Curator

 

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Curator, the Program Coordinator is to develop, coordinate and oversee in-house as well as community outreach program development at the Centre and act as liaison between project partners and Centre staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:

 

Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

1. Development and delivery of new CBHC general programming: Work closely with the Curator to create new internal and outreach programs and deliver programming to target audiences.  

 

2. Development and delivery of curriculum based educational programming and workshops: Work closely with Curator and other Centre staff to develop curriculum-based programming to achieve specified goals and objectives and ensure that these are communicated to various target audiences.

 

3. Develop and expand community partnerships and outreach: Work with Curator to develop new partnerships with related community organizations, stakeholders, sponsors to ensure continued growth and development CBHC programming.

 

4. Monthly reporting: Report monthly on project benchmarks to Curator with progress towards stated goals.

 

5. Other duties: Perform all other related duties as may be deemed necessary by the Curator.

B. Experience delivering public and educational programming (all audiences).

C. Experience managing program business operations (scheduling, bookings, etc.).
