Materials for Your Next Visit
Thank you for choosing the Bushplane Museum for your next school outing. Below are some materials that are geared specifically towards the hangar floor, and which discuss specific exhibits and points of interest at the Museum.
Science Scavenger Hunt
This scavenger hunt, geared towards grades 4 through 8, deals with some of the concepts discussed during a typical Study of Flight tour of the Museum. Give each student a copy before you leave for the Museum; it will keep them engaged during their tour.
Note: print both files, one on each side of a single sheet of paper (double-sided printing). Then the page can be folded into 8 squares for a handheld little booklet!
General Interest Scavenger Hunt
Science not your thing? This General Interest scavanger hunt deals with more general, "find me" questions, and can be used by almost any age group. Each member of your group should be equipped with one of these before they get to the Museum.
Note: print both files, one on each side of a single sheet of paper (double-sided printing). Then the page can be folded into 8 squares for a handheld little booklet!
Flashcards
The day after your visit to the Museum, quiz your students on the concepts they have learned. These flashcards deal with both forestry and aviation.
