The CBHC has two Norseman in its collection: CF-AYO.
CF-AYO is the prototype aircraft, and was the only Mark 1 to be produced. It starred in the 1942 movie Captains of the Clouds and was lost in a crash in Algonquin Park in 1952.

Designed in 1935, the Norseman was the first plane designed and built for Canadian bush flying. The Norseman brought some important innovations to bush flying with a full metal frame on the mark IV, V and VI. Cabin insulation also was a great innovation compared to the open cabin models that were the origin of bush plane flying.
