On October 10th 1958 CF-FTC piloted by Jack W Rutherford & Dr. Randolph G. Hoiles was scheduled to fly from Frobisher Bay (Iqaluit) to Clyde River on Baffin Island. The pilot had to make a forced landing 200 miles south of the intended destination. There was 328 hours spent searching for the plane for the next 45 days, No trace of the plane was ever found. On August 10, 1972, 14 years later the plane was spotted by Wayne Johnson of Midwestern Helicopters. Following the discovery of the aircraft, it was flown out in pieces by the RCAF and was taken to the museum in Ottawa.
